Real Ale - One of the larger families of beers, ales are by definition fermented with top-fermenting yeast, are low in carbonation and normally served at cellar temperature.
Pictured left is Tom Caxton's Dark Real Ale. Theres a perfect balance of the best quality malted barley and great hopped overtones. And by adding the unique hop sachet youll give your beer a wonderful aroma of country hops.
Under the cap you'll find our straightforward brewing instructions, yeast and hop sachet. All you need to add is sugar and water to brew 40 enormously satisfying pints.

Woodforde's Nog Porter Style
Traditionally known for being a strong beer brewed in East Anglia. Norfolk NOG is an excellent example of a strong 'Old' ale.
This reddish beer has an initial explosion of roast malt bitterness. This settles down, as a malty sweetness makes its presence felt. Maintains a dominant roast dryness to the end.

Woodforde's Headcracker
A deceptively strong ale full bodied and warming For those who dare only you can decide if you want to put the name of the beer to the test. Pale copper colouring and a mellow nose are pleasantly deceptive. A full bodied plummy flavour with a palatably bitter edge. Continues to a mature maple finish to the end of the glass.

Woodforde's Admiral's Reserve
The most recent addition to the Woodfordes range this new 4.5% beer is brewed in the traditional English strong ale style. Launched as a pub beer in April 2002 to celebrate Woodfordes 21st Anniversary 1981-2002, it's now available as a homebrew kit. The solid and generous sweet fruit flavours blend intimately with the luscious malted barley creating a complex and extremely satisfying dark chestnut-coloured beer. Woodfordes Nelsons Revenge Strong Bitter 3kg (36pt)
A full-bodied pale amber beer with the rich flavour of Dundee cake. Sultana fruitiness is balanced by a hoppy bitterness, to give a full, but light feel. The finish continues to develop into a warm, mellow glow.

Muntons Gold India Pale Ale
Keeping the British troops supplied with fresh beer out in the British East Indies proved to be a problem during the 19th Century. The lengthy journey by sailing ship caused the beers to spoil and a special brew therefore had to be supplied - India Pale Ale. This was brewed to a high alcoholic strength to keep bacteria at bay during the voyage. Upon arrival the beer was watered down to normal pub strength for the troops.
Of course the officers had access to the non-diluted version! However you have a choice. Recreate India Pale Ale, brewed to the Troops Tipple at approximately 1041 strength or the Higher Ranks Reserve version in its higher strength form.
