The homebrew starter kit comes complete with the basic starter equipment you will need to make your first batch of Woodforde's Wherry. It even contains the beer kit itself, normally around the £20 mark so it really is good value. You don't need to add any extra sugar with this kit and so all you need to supply is the water.
So what exactly do you get in the kit?
This beginners pack comes complete with the award winning Woodfordes Wherry Beer Kit and everything needed to turn it into 40 pints of premium real ale. It comes complete with all the equipment you need, plus a 3KG Woodfordes beer kit.
The kit includes
- 25 Litre brewing bin
- paddle
- Syphon
- Steriliser
- Hydrometer

What is it all for?
25 Litre brewing bin - used to make the beer in, you just add the Woodfordes kit, water and yeast into this bin and llet it ferment for about a week.
paddle - a long spoon for stirring the brew.
Syphon - used to transfer the beer from the brewing bin to the barrel where it is left for about 2 weeks after which it is ready to drink.
Steriliser - a powder used to make up a solution in which all of your equipment is sterilised prior to use. There is enough in here for several subsequent brews.
Hydrometer - used to test the sugar content of the beer to determine whether it has finished brewing.
Woodfordes Wherry beer kit - the actual beer mix. The box contains 2 cans of malt and the yeast sacher, enough to make about 40 pints.
40 pint barrel - used to store the beer during the latter stages of fermentation and during drinking.

Will I need anything else?
No, that's it apart from the water. As you get more interested in the hobby of brewing beer, you will find that there are odds and ends you need. If you just want to go on making Woodforde's beers though then just buy another refill beer kit each time.
